Northborough – Arthur A. Alexander, 69, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018, at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough after a lengthy illness. He leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Debra (Shuman) Alexander. He was the loving father of Daniel Alexander and Shawn Alexander both of Natick; Hilary Alexander of Sturbridge; loving brother of Billy Alexander of Natick; his former wife Susan Alexander of FL. Born and raised in Natick, he was the son of Thomas and Emaline (Zicko) Alexander. Arthur served in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1968-69. A man of many trades, he owned his own landscape company, sold R.V.’s, worked at Suburban Welders, and locally at the former Express It With Flowers in Northborough. Mr. Alexander loved the state of Maine, woodworking, feeding the birds and constructing birdhouses. He and Debbie enjoyed vacationing in Aruba for over 20 years. Arthur was a member of DTMA.
Arthur’s calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 12 - 3 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. His funeral will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Howard St. Cemetery.
