Obituary for Paul Francis Rennie

Paul Francis Rennie
Mr. Paul F. Rennie passed away peacefully Sunday November 5, 2017, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester after a period of declining health; he was 89 years old. Among his survivors he leaves his devoted wife of 63 years, Kathleen M. (Bannigan) Rennie, their four loving children Joanne R. Angell and husband David of Portland, OR, Paul J. Rennie and wife Tracy and their children Heather and Siera of McKinney, TX, David H. Rennie and wife Helen and their children Karalyn and Hugh of Doylestown, PA, and Karen M. Mitchell and husband Scott and their children Andrew and Collin of Northborough, MA. Paul was preceded in death by his two brothers, Joseph and James.
Paul was born in Medford, MA on April 20, 1928, a son to the late James M. and Mary L. (Waters) Rennie. He attended St. James School in Medford prior to graduating from Medford High School in 1945. Paul then enlisted in the US Navy, honorably serving his country upon the USS Springfield. Upon his return Paul continued his studies, earning his BS in Accounting at Boston College, Class of 1953. During his BC days he met the love of his life, Kathleen. They were married in 1954 and began raising their family in Reading, MA. In 1970 they moved to Peterborough, NH and then in 1977 to North Dartmouth, MA where they resided for 36 years. In 2013 Paul and Kathleen relocated to Northborough, MA.
As an avid fan of hockey Paul enjoyed playing as a youth and was a coach for the Peterborough Hockey Club. He was a lifelong golfer and could be found on the greens until his recent health decline. He enjoyed the companionship of his Labrador Retrievers, Jodi and Meagan, but above all he was proud of and devoted to his family.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6pm on Wednesday, November 8th, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 9th, at St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 West Main Street, Northborough. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
